Harness your telekinetic prowess to softly except a force of 50N (akin to applying 5kg or 10 lbs of force) on any inanimate solid object within sight and range, and move it however you want.
The force is applied over a hand-sized area, allowing for interaction with most objects, but not enough to do damage to most things.
The ability is perfect for when your phone is slightly out of reach, and standing up is a bit too much right now.
As you progress in the Force tree, your telekinetic force increases by 50N (10lbs) and range by 5m (15ft) for each Tier.
Simplified physics for pushing things:
— Flat Surfaces: When pushing objects on most surfaces, your force can move objects up to twice their weight. So, the 50N force can push a 10kg or 20 lb object horizontally. For example, a small dog/cat, a chair, etc.
— Slippery Surfaces: On surfaces with minimal friction, like ice or oil, your force can push objects up to ten times their weight, making it significantly easier to slide heavy objects across such surfaces.
— Wheeled Objects: For objects on wheels, your force can move up to a hundred times their weight. 50N can push a loaded shopping cart with easy (assuming the wheels aren’t busted, again). At Tier 3, you can push a 4-seater car on neutral.
— These physics are simplified, but roughly true to real life.
