Armor Class

  • Core Mechanic

Your Armor Class (AC) determines how hard it is to hit you effectively, this could be in the form of armor, reflexes, special conditions, etc.

Your armor class is calculated as such:
AC = Base Armor Class + your Dexterity (+ other bonuses mentioned in your Perks or Conditions)

Your Base Armor Class (Base AC) is determined by your worn armor. If you’re not wearing armor, your Base AC is equal to your Natural AC. The average human has a natural AC of 10.

If you have multiple calculations for AC, you can pick whichever is higher. For example: Crocodile People have a Natural AC of 15, when they wear padded armor with a Base AC of 14, they can choose to use the 15 + DEX for their AC instead.
