Proficiency

— Core Mechanic

Proficiency represents your character’s familiarity and training in a specific Skill, Weapon, Armor, Saving Throw, or Instrument. If you’re proficient in the skill or item, you can add your Proficiency Bonus to rolls when using it.

You gain Proficiencies through spending Progression Points. Generally, 1 PP can get you 1 proficiency.

Below is the list of all Proficiencies.
For a balanced adventurer type character, it’s recommended that you have at least 1 weapon proficiency, 1 Saving Throw proficiency, and 3–5 Skills. But if you want a more specialized character, go nuts.

Armor Proficiencies:
Basic Armor
Advanced Armor (You need Basic Armor first to pick Advanced)
Weapon Proficiencies:
Melee: Bladed Weapons, Blunt Weapons, Polearms, Flexible Weapons.
Ranged: Projectile Weapons, Thrown Weapons, Firearms.
Saving Throws:
Picking a saving throw proficiency requires at least +1 in that Attribute.
— Common: DEX Save, WIS Save, CON Save
— Rare: STR Save, Intelligence Save, Charisma Save
Skills:
Strength: Athletics
Dexterity: Acrobatics, Sleight Of Hand, Stealth, Piloting, Crafting.
Charisma: Deception, Intimidation, Performance, Persuasion, Networking.
Intelligence: Arcana/Science, Technology, Culture, Medicine, Nature.
Wisdom: Empathy, Intuition, Perception, Logic.
Instruments:
— Whatever instrument you want that fits the setting, your voice also counts as an instrument.
