Stabilize

Action

When a target in touch range is at Death’s Door (at 0 or negative health), you can use your action to attempt to stabilize them, giving them emergency first aid.

Make a Medicine Check against the target’s Death Saving Throw DC, 15.
Upon a success, you heal the target an amount equals to 1d4 + (Your Attribute used in the Medicine check) + (Your proficiency bonuses in Medicine).

A critical success doubles the healing, while a roll below 5 causes 1d6 damage instead.

This healing can’t bring the target to higher than 1 HP, but it can stabilize the target and get them back to the land of the living.

Note that when stabilizing yourself, the disadvantage from being in Death’s Door doesn’t apply to the medicine check. Think of it as a rush of self-preservation.
